I am standing in the open door of my home. The rain is over. Taking deep yoga breaths while visualizing the wriggly surface of my own brain (yoga guru recommended), eyes shut. Frogs are in concert and it isn’t dark enough yet for the birds to stop chirping or for the chipmunks to stop clucking.
The air smells fresh and fragrant, like it always does after a warm rain. And I keep practicing my Yoga breathing, lifting the head slowly while inhaling, fully expanding the chest and then exhaling, letting my head drop down a bit. All the while, I’m trying to distinguish between different sounds. Science claims that our brain can only separate up to 7 sounds at once…
The door was wide open during the rain and is still open, now that it has stopped. Ducks fly in loudly to land on the little lake… I am happy – Buttercup is sleeping on top of the couch.
How do you like to practice your yoga breathing? We love your ideas…
