Have you ever watched coworkers in the break room unwrapping their subway sandwiches? How they radiate a glow of self respect! Yes we are hungry, and yes we are healthy, and yes we work out, and yes we want to lose belly fat! I seem to be reminded of these qualities every time someone takes that big crunchy bite from her one footer sandwich.
Before Jared Fogle, the guy who invented the Subway sandwich diet, I probably wouldn’t have looked at her eating with such envy. Nor would I have perceived a Subway sandwich eating person to be extra ordinarily health-conscious either.
Besides my own, Jared Fogle literally changed a world of thinking. Now you can find Subway Sandwich Fast Food even in China. A fact that a calorie-watching and Great-Wall-walking tourist might very well appreciate. Otherwise, it probably won’t make a ding in China’s sushi rice industry as opposed to McDonald’s in North America. But I’m getting off topic.
Actually, all I want to say is this: Stick with the 6 inch whole grain sandwich. Add poultry, a little cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, vinegar, mustard and you save half of the calories to use for small meals throughout the day to keep you from feeling hungry.
Portion control, even if you’re choosing a super healthy Subway sandwich from the menu, is a necessary tool for losing belly fat and keeping it off for good.

I have often wondered about subway sandwiches? I see that they promote them as very diet conscious food. Have you seen any studies that would indicate that eating subway sandwiches can indeed help one to lose weight?

I read a story today which made me change my mind about Subway being healthy….a guy lost 80 pounds eating McDonalds food! So if he could eat healthy there (salads, wraps, bunless burgers, etc), it doesn’t matter where you eat but what you eat.
Eating small portions and healthy with regular exercise is all the trick to losing weight. One must be always conscious of what he/she eats…………counting of calories and maanged the amount of of Carbs
