Sammie lost 26 pounds and became a Fitness model. More remarkably so that she’s never played sports, even loathed the thought of working out at the gym. How did she do it then? She says it depends on the method you are choosing. In the interview she also recommends to eat more frequently during the day and gives you examples of easy and delicious snacks to choose from.

When adding resistance bands / or dumbbells to your workout routine, your muscles must work harder. This starts a process called metabolism where nutrients, otherwise stored away by the body in fat cells, convert to glycogen (energy) as needed. So if you use your muscles effectively, you’ll burn fat rather than having it stored away in fat cells often, undesirably so, around the middle.
Sammy further mentions that resistance training is important to prevent osteoporosis in women to keep the body healthy. In our mid thirties we’re beginning to lose muscle tone. Knowing this, we should start a resistance training routine for maximum fat burning momentum, throughout life. The more toned you are, the better your body’s metabolism, even while sitting on your desk.
