Protein Supplement Recalled: New Whey Liquid Products and Hardcore Energize Bullet.
FDA has issued a recall for the following protein supplements:
New Whey Liquid:
- Distributed in US.
- Liquid whey protein is packaged in 2.9 oz., clear, test-tube like vials.
- New Whey Fruit Punch 25g: lot # 1960
- New Whey Blue Raspberry 42g: lot # 1944
Hardcore Energize Bullet:
- Distributed in Canada.
- Liquid whey protein is packaged n 2.9 oz., clear, test-tube shaped vials.
- Blue Rage: lot #’s 1961,1962, and 1794
- Black Rush: lot #’s 1963
Hardcore Energize Bullet and New Whey liquid products are both manufactured by Protica Inc., of Whitehall, Pa.
Consumers are advised to not buy or use these products due to suspected tampering.
Utility knife blades have been found in one vial of Hardcore Energize Bullet drink manufactured in the US and sold in Canada. A second blade was found in a vial of New Whey Liquid product, manufactured and sold in the US. No one has been known to have been hurt by these products.
