Liver Detox: When you want to lose weight fast …

If you want to lose weight fast, a liver detox for three or five days is a tasty way to do it.

Juicing is one healthy way to cleanse the liver and filter fat and other toxins from your system. And with it, shed that sluggish feeling and perhaps one pound a day of body fat- fast.

January 26, 2009 issue of First Magazine recommends the following juice liver cleanse diet to jump start slim down:

Start your day with 1 cup green tea or warm water with the juice of ½ a lemon.

Take out the juicer:

For breakfast juice 3 carrots, 2 stalks of celery, 1 cucumber, 1 beet, ½ a lemon, ½ cup of parsley and 1 inch ginger root.

Mid morning snack:

Juice 4 carrots, 2 stalks of celery, ½ a lemon and ¼ up parsley.

Lunch:

Take 2 tomatoes, 1 avocado, a ½ carrot, a ¼ bell pepper and ¾ cup almond milk and blend, making two bowls.

In between meal snack:

Juice 10 oz. green vegetables of your choice, and add lemon and ginger to taste.

Afternoon snack:

Salad with lettuce, 1 cup shredded carrots, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, 1 Tbs. olive oil and a dash of cinnamon.

For Dinner:

  • Creamy tomato soup

Before bed time:

  • Prepare 1 cup of warm water with juice of ½ a lemon

Then create your own version of the diet for the next three to five days, by juicing a rainbow of fruit and veggies and plan them into your day as in the example above.

After three days: Add poultry and fish such as salmon – get recipe - to your salads and dinner.

After day five: Keep on adding fresh organic juices to your normal diet to keep on burning fat from your body at record speed .

These diet ideas are great, and the best thing is that not only are they good for detox and cleansing the liver, you also feel so much better on a healthy diet like this, especially after a period of unhealthy eating or just eating out at restaurants. The ideal is to stay on a helathy diet rich in vegetables and herbs and even spices (also very high in antioxidants such as tumeric and cinammon) and look and feel great all the time.
