Yes, I broke my diet, now what should I do? Resign to the fact and spindle away into the dark spheres of despair and moodiness? Or should I just grab a bowl of ice cream, top it off with globs of Hershey syrup, and forget about dieting all together? Definitely tempting! Better though, is to just face the facts.
That said, I’ve stopped being hard on myself. When life throws you a box of chocolates… don’t eat it, but if you do, it is vital to jump right back on track. So instead of punishing myself, I accept and relish this short detour away from my usual path of whole grains, low-calories and berries, and swerve right back into eating healthily and happily.
A ruby red grapefruit topped with a little honey sounds sweet to me right now. Isn’t life wonderful?
