How To Do Crunches The Right Way: When doing crunches working the abdominal muscles, also called core muscles, we might find it difficult to target them precisely. Often, rather than using this particular muscle group to lift and support the upper body, it’s easy to pull on the neck instead, especially when fast forwarding through the exercise. Then it’s time to breathe deeply and remember why you are lying flat on the floor.
Remember, your purpose is to grow stronger when building your core muscles, not weaken yourself with an injury to the neck or back. That’s why I like this movie. The girl starts off slow, and as she rolls her shoulders slightly off the floor you can see her abdominal muscles crunch, always keeping her midsection tight while exhaling – inhaling, while she rolls back down, slowly, to the ground.
To keep wanting doing this exercise, make it your art. Begin with just one or two crunches today and tomorrow you can add more, easily. Your muscles have a memory of their own. You’ll be amazed:)
How do you feel while doing the crunches? Do you hate doing them, or do you already make such core exercises a routine as you plan them into your life? We love to read your thoughts about it…
