Walking through the cereal aisle, looking for a healthy but tasty product, I’ve opted for the Kellogg’s All Bran BranBuds.
Decided to try in hopes I can eat it. My experience with all bran brands never really accommodated my taste buds. This one to my great surprise tastes great. The little buds are crunchy and stay crunchy in milk and are only lightly sweetened.
First of all, 1/3 cup of All Bran BranBuds provides 13grams fiber out of the daily recommended amount of 25g – 38g. This is important because fiber helps in digesting foods , aids colon-cleansing, and helps with weight loss by filling your belly and curbing your hunger!
One third cup of the bran cereal with a cup of Silk soy milk is only about 170 calories. You probably won’t believe at first that this is enough to tame hunger when you look at the small amount in your bowl… but I challenge you to try it.
That is because of all that filling fiber. I also toss in some fruit to add even more important nutrients to nourish my body throughout the day. These are calories you need not to worry about…. unless you are on Atkins
You could add low fat or skim milk or if you prefer organic Silk soy milk. I am not lactose intolerant, but prefer the soy milk because it contains greater amounts of essential nutrients than 2% milk. Just one example when comparing labels: a serving of Silk Vanilla organic soy milk contains 230mg of ALA omega3s while a serving of 2% milk contains only 20mg of ALA omega3s.
As mentioned, fruit makes this morning bowl of cereal even more delicious. I add what I find in my fridge or freezer. Strawberries seem to be a great buy right now Blueberries add to the fun preferably fresh. If not opt for the frozen storable kind. For more fiber power cut an apple.
What a wonderful tasty and super healthy way to start your day with. That’s why I have to share the Kellogg’s All Bran BranBuds with you, just in case you haven’t discovered it yet… and no, I am not getting a penny for every box I am selling here

I agree, its a bit pricey, so stock up on sale, but this is the best tasting, highest fiber cereal around, really glad that i stumbled across this in the store! I like it plain (i’m a glutton for punishment) or you could blend it in a smoothie or protein shake for a high protein/high fiber snack, what more could you want?
