Sweet Summer Recipe, high in protein, fiber, and loaded with vitamins and minerals: enjoy!

Crunchy Apple and Yogurt

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 large apples (diced)
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cup diced dried apricots
  • 1/2 Cup raisins
  • 1/4 Cup sliced almonds
  • 1/3 Cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

Toss apples with lemon juice (prevents browning).
Mix in other ingredients, except yogurt.
Add yogurt, and chill.

Women who eat a lot of apples during pregnancy have a smaller risk to give birth to children who will end up suffering from asthma by the age of five.
