Here’s a great weight loss tip:
Add grapefruit to your diet and you’ll feel full longer and curb cravings.
Grapefruit is high in fiber and provides a hefty dose of essential vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin-C, an important antioxidant that boosts your body’s natural defenses. 1/2 of one medium sized grapefruit is also only about 40 calories with 10g of carbs, making it a great food when watching carb-intake.
So make it a point to pick up some Ruby Reds on your next shopping trip. Feeling full for a longer time will help curb cravings and cut back on snacking. You’ll end up saving lots of calories and before you know it, you’ll easily scale down a dress size or two…

Those are great recipes for grapefruit. Very simple, but they look great. I’m a big fan of grapefruit so I’ll have to try some of these.
I’ve also heard that a lot of people are able to ‘switch-off’ their cravings for high-calorie sweet foods by eating fruits such as grapefruit.

Does a Ruby Red have the same GI as a pink or white grapefruit? Since it tastes much sweeter, it seems that it would be higher…. None of the GI lists that I have seen differentiate between them, there is only a generic listing for “grapefruit,” which is disconcerting.
